Course Overview

This session is designed to give managers and supervisors an overview of the WHS expectations of business and help effective management in their areas of responsibility. It will help bring your health and safety requirements in line with the relevant legal and operational requirements.

The course is designed to be a relaxed, interactive forum, where questions can be discussed, guidance obtained, and networking opportunities developed.

Course Details

Online via the ZOOM platform or Face to Face (4HRS)

$350 per person

There are no assessments.

You will be provided with a Certificate of Attendance at the completion of the course.

This course will cover:

  • WHS legislation framework

  • The responsibilities of Duty holders

  • WHS consultation processes (including HSCs and HSRs).

  • Risk management strategies

  • Wellbeing at Work

  • Return on Investment

 

Course Format

The session is conducted online by a recognised and experienced WHS specialist with strong knowledge of relevant legislation and WHS processes.

All resources will be provided on enrolment including:

  • Copies of the relevant state or territory WHS legislation

  • Copies of Codes of Practice

  • Risk Registers

  • Inspection Checklists


WHS for Human Resources 1/2 DAY WORKSHOP.

This session is designed to give human resources personnel an overview of the WHS expectations of business and help effective management in their areas of responsibility. It will help bring your health and safety requirements in line with the relevant legal and operational requirements.

The course is designed to be a relaxed, interactive forum, where questions can be discussed, guidance obtained, and networking opportunities developed.

Your Facilitator

Ian Freeman has been teaching health and safety for over 15 years. For the last 9 years he has been a National Training Manager of WHS for a registered RTO and has helped design and deliver White Card, Cert IV WHS, Diploma WHS and Advanced Diploma WHS courses. He has had experience in the construction, transport and warehousing fields and was able to take that experience and apply it to many years in the hospitality sector developing WHS programs from the ground up. Ian is a passionate health, safety, and wellbeing advocate and a 10-year member of the Australian Institute of Health and Safety (AIHS). He specialises in building relationships between business owners/management and their employees in establishing WHS as a workable business stream.

When not working, Ian is usually making music, surfing or continuing in his search for the perfect croissant.
